Topic Scope
This Call for Papers invites interdisciplinary research at the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and behavioural science to address critical decision-making challenges in agriculture, education, and business. While AI offers powerful predictive tools, its impact is often limited by behavioural barriers such as risk aversion, biases, and low trust—especially in contexts like smallholder farming, student learning, and digital commerce. Integrating behavioural insights into AI design and deployment can bridge this gap, enhancing user engagement, trust, and long-term sustainability.
Despite growing interest, research combining AI and behavioural science remains fragmented. We seek novel contributions that explore how behaviour-aware AI can improve technology adoption, personalize interventions, and align digital tools with human values. Relevant areas include AI-powered nudges in farming, adaptive learning systems, ethical personalization in business, and explainable AI.
This CFP offers a platform for advancing theory and practice with direct implications for policy, development programs, and digital governance. By fostering collaboration across sectors, we aim to promote inclusive, human-centred innovation.
Contributors will shape a rapidly emerging field, informing how AI can be designed not only to predict behaviour, but to support better decisions for people and planet. This call invites papers that explore the convergence of AI and behavioral science to address challenges and opportunities in:
